Field Report
Field in is excellent condition. Field is flyable, grass is low for those who want to continue flying this year. The KCRC sign, windsock and pole have been taken down and stored in the clean sea-land container, tractors have been winterized. Oil will be changed in Spring of 2019. The driveway did not get sealed this season - Jim Stoffer (paver) recommended not doing it until spring of 2019.
Old Business
We currently have 40 reservations of the Christmas party at the Norwin ELKS on December 2nd starting at 5pm. Jim Kealey purchased 4 planes for the Chinese auction, along with 2 baskets of tools and electrical stuff, and Curt Hughes donation of an FMS P-49 RTF foamy concludes the gifts. Deserts will be purchased from Shrams Farm which includes cakes, pies, and Christmas cookies. Michelle has purchased the ladies gifts. Thanks Curt for the generous donation.
All of Ray Hurley’s planes were sold at the Delmont auction – he has been contacted and check sent to his new address in Canada.
New Business
Jerry and Eric are researching grass clipping vacuum systems; the grass was exceptionally heavy this year and what would have normally taken 3-4 hours to complete has averaged between 5-6 hours per cut. The problem is waiting for the dew to evaporate, cutting, and then waiting again for the clipping to be dry enough to be collected by the add-on CUB vacuum system. We are currently evaluating the “Cyclone Rake” units which are probably the best available. This is a tag-along unit which should allow us to cut and vacuum simultaneously. The Cyclone Rake includes a 6.5hp motor mulching unit and deck discharge adapter integrated to a folding steel dump trailer with a 1 cubic yard collection bag. Approximate cost is $1600 and it can be delivered to our site. More details will be given at the January meeting.
We will also ask Labuda for their recommendations as well.
KCRC swap and auctions are officially discontinued.

The Memebership unanimously voted to keep the existing Club Officers and Advisors for another term. The Club Secretary cast one vote for the record.
2019 Officers and Advisory Committee: Mike Shepherd President, Bo Kwasny Vice President, Eric Haberman Secretary, Jerry Thomas Treasurer, with Curt Hughes, Dave Popovic, and Jim Kealey advisors.
