Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer’s report was given by Jerry Thomas and approved by the membership. A motion to pay the bills was made and seconded.
Communications
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dan Berti’s wife last Sunday. A flower arrangement has been sent on behalf of the Club.
Field Report
The field is in good condition. The grass is very thick. The recommendation is to mow the runway last (after the dew has evaporated) so that the clippings have a chance to dry out prior to vacuuming. The pits area should be vacuumed after each mowing regardless of the height of the grass on the runway.
Port A John has been delivered.
Old Business
The Club suggested replacing the KCRC sign at the west end of the field with something that is easier to install and remove. We discussed options but no final decision has been made. Our AMA Charter number and GPS coordinates will need to be added under the new FAA guidelines.
New Business
No dates on float fly at Acme have been set.
Jim Kealey and Mike Shepherd have been investigating landscaping cloth as a runway for small electric aircraft. They will report findings at the July meeting.
The Club discussed holding a Swap and Fly-in at the field in late August or September. Local Clubs will be invited to participate. Details and dates will be decided at the July meeting.
Show and Tell
None
The meeting concluded at 1245 pm followed by the second annual Club picnic.
Eric R Haberman, Secretary KCRC.
