The Treasurer’s report was given by Jerry Thomas and approved by the membership. A motion to pay the bills was made and seconded.

Communications

We received an offer from Five Star Resources who want to buy the mineral rights to the property for $3500 per acre. The Club voted unanimously to reject the offer.

Lebanon swap is March 6. See their ad in the March issue of Model Aviation for details.

The MARCS Club will hold their annual flee market and auction at the Delmont Event Center on Saturday March 30 starting at 8am. Admission is $3 for adults, tables $10, spouses and children free.

Field Report

Field in is good condition with only minor wind damage by fallen trees at the perimeter of the property.

Old Business

We discussion the benefits of the Trac-Vac (sold by Labuda), and the Cyclone Rake for vacuuming the runway after cutting. The difference between the two is that the Cyclone Rake has a larger discharge hose, a 1 cubic yard collection bag as opposed to plastic garbage cans on the Trac-Vac system, larger motor and impeller, and can be folded for storage. Eric Haberman will contact the company for more price and delivery details which will be presented at the March meeting.

Bo reminded the membership that the Club will continue with 4 family picnics/fun flies; the dates are June 23, July 21, August 18, and September 15. This year the Club will only provide hotdogs, hamburgers, condiments, and bottled water. Members are responsible for beverages other than water, and please bring a covered dish or dessert as usual.

The Treasurer’s ledger will be audited by Bill Pilesi and findings will be reported at the March meeting.

New Business

The Club Secretary received the application for our annual AMA charter. The membership has been updated and a $40.00 check will be sent to the AMA.

Eric Haberman presented a draft of the 2019 grass cutting schedule and asked for volunteers to replace the dates vacated by previous crew members. The open dates are May 11, May 25, July 6, July 20, August 31, and September 14. If you want to consider any one or more of these dates please contact Eric. You will be teamed with an experienced crew member. The dues incentive program will apply to any date chosen.

Show and Tell

Curt Hughes sold a NIB Parkzone Night Vapor with 4 batteries to AL Stanoszek. Curt also has a nice field box for sale for $40. If anyone’s interested, please contact Curt for details.

A motion to adjourn concluded the meeting at 7:23 pm.

Eric R Haberman, Secretary KCRC
