Minutes of the 673rd Meeting of the Keystone Clippers Model Aircraft Club

Monday October 25, 2021
The 673rd meeting of the Keystone Clippers was held at the Circleville United Methodist Church at 7pm and called to order by President Mike Shepherd with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. There were 6 regular members and 4 Officers present.

Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurers report will be given at the November meeting.
Communications
MARCS swap on Saturday November 20. Doors open at 7am for vendor setup, auction begins at 9am. See Jim Kealey for tables.
Field Report
The field is in good condition. Mulching blades have been installed on both tractors. Moving is now complete. A work party for the Fall Cleanup is scheduled for November 13.
Old Business
Bo Kwasny has been asked to coordinate cleaning the outside benches with the local Boy Scout troop. Pavilion bench repairs will be deferred to the Spring of 2022.
Reminder that the AMA website has posted the TRUST test. The expectation is that all AMA members pass the test in order to renew their registration. You must pass the test to maintain your KCRC Club membership in good standing. To date only 5 members have taken and passed the test.
Personal checks are required for the KCRC Christmas party to be held at Rodney’s on December 5. All checks need to be received by Friday November 26 to guarantee our reservation.
Please have your 2022 dues paid by December 31 to avoid the $25.00 late fee.
New Business
The Club will hold the 2022 Officers election at the November 29th meeting. An email will be sent to the Club for their recommendations for all Club positions.
The annual KCRC Christmas party is scheduled for Sunday December 5 at 5pm at Rodney’s on Arona Rd. There will be a Chinese auction for prizes and party baskets.
The Club would like to get the membership engaged in in-door flying in the evenings or on Saturday. This event would be held at the Sewickley Township Rec Center located in Herminie. Eric Haberman or Jim Kealey will contact the Rec Center coordinator regarding open dates which will be discussed at the November business meeting.
In order to bring in new members, AMA Park Flyer and Limited memberships were discussed. The officers decided to have an Advisory Committee meeting to define the requirements, certification process, and dues. Agenda items will include: dues reduction for Senior members, Lifetime Memberships, updating the By-laws and Field Rules, and use of the LINE app for members who can’t attend regular meetings.
