Minutes of the 653rd Meeting of the Keystone Clippers Model Aircraft Club

AMA Charter 553 

Monday November 25, 2019

The 653rd meeting of the Keystone Clippers was held at the Circleville United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm and called to order by President Mike Shepherd with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. There were 10 regular members and 4 Officers present.

 Readings

Jamie Mitchell was unanimously voted in as Club members.

Perspective members Brandon Greenwalt, John Hudzik, and Mark Yothers gave their first readings.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s report was given by Jerry Thomas and approved by the membership. A motion to pay the bills was made and seconded.

 Communications

None

Field Report

The field is in good condition for flying, property and equipment have been winterized. The mowers were serviced by Labuda on Nov 11th and returned on November 25th. The combined invoice for maintenance work on the tractors was $768.

Old Business

Mike reminded the membership about the up coming Christmas party at the Norwin ELKS on Sunday December 1st starting at 5pm. Chinese auction will happen after dinner.

The third review of Application for Constitution and By-Laws Change Notices 1 and 2 initiated and signed at the September 30 meeting was presented by the Club Secretary.

To review, this changes the Article III Section 1 Quorum and Majority requirements from nine (9) members in good standing plus three (3) Club Officers to a total of nine (9) members in good standing which includes two (2) Club Officers. Change 2 deletes the nine (9) member minimum, allowing a 2/3 majority of members present. These changes will be voted upon during the January 2020 meeting (per Article XI Section 1).

The first signoff of the Application for Constitution and By-Laws Change Notice 3 Article II Section 1 was presented by the Club Secretary and reviewed by the membership.

This change will allow unlimited terms for elected Club Officers. The second review of this change will occur at the January 2020 meeting. This change will be voted upon during the March 2020 meeting (per Article XI Section 1).

New Business

Jim Kealey was elected by majority vote as Vice President for 2020. The 2020 Advisory Committee members are Curt Hughes, Bo Kwasny, and Dave Popovic.

 Show and Tell

Perspective member John Hudzik displayed a giant scale P-38.

 A motion to adjourn concluded the meeting at 7:35 pm.
