Field Report

The field is in good condition. Since the grass is dry and low, after a minimum of 2 loops around the barriers and the edge of the driveway, the grass should be cut back and forth as opposed to continuous looping. Tire tracks are easier to follow which will prevent overlapping the previous cut.

We would like to have the trees across from the pavilion trimmed and topped and one tree at the east end of the pavilion should to be removed due to its condition to prevent any damage to the pavilion should it decide to fall over. Mike Shepherd and Ron Steban have been asked to contact a tree service for that work and will report at the August meeting.

Bo Kwasny brought his brush hog to the field on Friday July 24 and cut the barriers down to manageable level as well as clearing the entire perimeter of the property and cut-in two (2) areas to dump grass clipping. They are located near the northeast and northwest corners of the property.

Cold patch was added to the hole in front of equipment container.

Overhanging trees on south perimeter should be cut back to allow easier access to that portion of the property for mowing. A work party notice will be issued for that activity.

We talked about the weeds growing up through the parking lot and driveway and what can be done to improve the situation and mitigate further damage to the pavement. Tar and chips may be an option as opposed to paving – Bo, Jerry, and Eric will contact a few vendors for quotes.
