Minutes of the 656th Meeting of the Keystone Clippers Model Aircraft Club

Monday February 24, 2020
The 656th meeting of the Keystone Clippers was held at the Circleville United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm and called to order by Vice President Jim Kealey with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. There were 7 regular members and 3 Officers present.
Readings
Perspective members John Hudzik, and Mark Yothers gave their third readings.
Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer’s report was given by Jerry Thomas and approved by the membership. A motion to pay the bills was made and seconded.
Communications
MARCS flea market and auction will be held at the Delmont Event Center this Saturday March. Doors open at 730am for table setup, 8am for general admission, and the auction starts at 9am. See the MARCS.org website for more details. Tables can be purchased at the door.
The Lebanon (CPAA) swap and flea market will be held on March 14th at the Lebanon Fairgrounds. Advance tickets are $8.00, $10.00 at the door – open at 8:30 am. See the CPAA.us website for more details.
Field Report
The field is in good condition. Jerry was at the field on Sunday 23rd and suggested that we roll the runway as soon as possible. He also noted that the windsock needs replaced and suggested replacing the pole or stabilizing it with removable turnbuckles and guy wires that could be easily removed for mowing. Jerry said he will purchase a new windsock.
Old Business
The third review of the Application for Constitution and By-Laws Change Notice 3 Article II Section 1 was presented to the membership by the Club Secretary. This change will allow unlimited terms for elected Club Officers. The membership voted and unanimously accepted the change which will be incorporated into the Constitution and By-Laws.
FAA RID NPRM
Vice President Jim Kealey reviewed the details of the NPRM and its effect on model aviation – twenty four thousand (24000) responses have been received and posted to the Federal Register to date – and he again urged the membership to respond to the FAA by March 2.
New Business
Dates for the KCRC annual picnics and fun-fly will be discussed at the March Meeting.
We would like to get more members flying in the morning and during the week. A tentative schedule will be reviewed at the March meeting.
